Belgium trip: Day 3 – Brugge

We spent Day 3 in Brugge, an hour’s train ride from Brussels. Brugge is lovely – a romantic city full of narrow cobblestoned streets, quaint architecture and winding, flower-lined canals.

After a day of walking around and a boat ride, we met up with a friend of Mr.R’s for dinner in the main square. There, we had tagliatelli and rabbit (not together!) and made conversation while the first heavy rain of the weekend fell around the Grote Markt.

If you’re going to Belgium, I recommend a visit to Brugge.

  2. the statue with the bicycles is amazing!

  3. Thanks, guys! Credit to Mr.R (my enthusiastic photographer-husband)for most of the pics.

Belgium is a very cycle friendly country, so it seemed very natural to find a statue, cycles attached. This was in Brugge.
